To be needed by someone - that is my greatest wish]

EnglishFirst off, Mochizuki-sensei was not trying to make Isla Yura (the creepy man) cute. I'm pretty sure that Mochizuki-sensei was going for the scary cute. Also, Isla talks in very polite speech, which is interesting...>.>;
Elliot does not like this person:
Elliot: "You..." Thoughts: That's right. Why didn't I recall my memories sooner, of this poisonous snake that wrapped itself around mother--!
It then goes to Oz and Break sword fighting:
Oz: "Isla Yura?...Who's that? This person, do they have any connection to the mark (seal)? (note: the Kanji used here 印 can mean mark, symbol, or evidence, but the Katakana Furigana (Kana written next to Kanji to show their reading) indicates that this Kanji should be read as "mark," though the other definitions are interesting.)
Break: "Yes. That mark (seal) with a snake curled around a stake...We've heard that it is a symbol of a certain, small religious cult organization."
Oz: "Religious cult organization..."
Break: "We are going to be able to talk to a substantial senior member within that religious organization. That is, Isla Yura. And it seems as if he is the son of a very influential person in a neighboring country."
Oz: "'That Country'...?"
Break: "Yes. That's why, it seems as if Pandora won't be at all helpful. Nevertheless, in order to search for the whereabouts of Glen Baskerville's seal, a search of that man's house was conducted one day, though I am unaware of what happened there (in that country). I guess you could say...That boy has a certain way about himself. I don't know if he'll have anything to do with the seal, but I have a feeling we may be able to get some kind of information from all of this."
Then Break beats Oz (it seems as if Break beats Oz a lot) and Gil yells at Break! XD Getting serious though, Gil comes over to Break with a folded piece of paper. Break asks what's up and if the thing he asked Gil to do went over smoothly.
After that we go to Gil drying Oz's hair (and Alice being adorable by pulling on Gil's jacket! =3)
Oz: "---A list of Lord Barma's schedule. This is amazing! How did you get the information for this?"
Gil: "I took a peek at Liam's notebook. 'This is bad,' I thought, but I figured that would be the quickest and easiest way [to get the information]."
Oz then looks over the schedule, notices when Isla will be at the Barma household and comes up with a plan. Then we see said plan in action! XDD I don't think I need to go over what is being said here, it's pretty obvious.
Okay, so I'll translate some of the important stuff that Isla has to say:
Isla: "I was sent from my country and ordered to investigate the unknown source power known as the Abyss in this country." He then goes on to talk about the Abyss. Burma goes on to talk about the Abyss for a bit. Apparently Isla has an intellectual thirst for knowledge when it comes to the Abyss (and it is quite plain to see that Burma doesn't like this guy/is annoyed! =P)
Isla: " I just want to get some bit of truth within my grasp!! For example, even if there is a second coming of the Tragedy of Sablier, that's no problem!! Ahh, ohh...Just that thought alone sends shivers down my spine...!"
Of course, by now, Oz and Gil are completely freaked out. At this point, Gil realizes that Alice is no longer there and informs Oz of this. Oz hears something about the Nightrays and tells Gil to go and find Alice, that he will stay there, and everything will be fine.
This is what Oz heard about the Nightrays (Barma to Isla): "Was Mrs. Nightray inducted into your religious organization in order to quench her thirst for knowledge as well?"
Oz: 'Elliot's...Mother...?
Isla: "Haha...I don't know about that. Lord Barma...I just want that read fruit of wisdom of yours. That should be easy to do, no?"
Barma: "Hmm...Well then, shall I show you that? I present to you: Oz Vessalius."
Oz is shocked and Barma points out where Oz is. The doors open, Isla spots Oz, and there is a skip to Barma meeting with Break, Gil, and Alice. Barma asks if it is about time that they made there appearance, him and Break talk for a bit (I think it's uber cute how, while they discuss how Break and the rest found out about this and what not, Alice is in the background trying to figure out how to eat a fake chicken! xD)
Break: "Let's go, Alice-kun. Oz is probably in a bit of trouble as of right now." (Barma seems to be aware of Break's failing eyesight).
Isla is apparently a fan of Jack Vessalius.
Isla: "A g-g-g...Golden, blonde haired, emerald eyed boy...I-I-I-It can't be...Really...!? Jack Vessalius-sama---!!!"
Oz: "No. I'm Oz Vessalius. It's nice to meet you!!!"
Gil and Alice want to get Isla away from Oz, meanwhile Isla is telling Oz to not be worried and that he knows Oz is the real Oz, but that he harbors Jack inside of him and so on and so forth.
Isla: "I've heard that you hold the spirit of a patriot, a great hero, within your soul: that of Jack Vessalius. To be frank, are you for real?"
Oz/Gil/Alice: Huh!?
Isla goes into Oz's relationship with his father, at which point he goes a bit too far (kinda like a nosy news reporter) and Gil gets upset at him. At which point Isla humbly apologizes for his mistake. Isla brings up how he wants to formally invite Oz over to his mansion in order to confirm that the things being said about Oz are true (most likely the things concerning Jack).
Oz thinks about this offer and when asked "How about it?" by Isla, Oz responds with:
Oz: "Even...if I say yes...Jack won't just resurface for me..."
Isla: "...That's too bad. If Jack was here, I would certainly be the first one to report the information. Lord Barma, I sincerely thank you for today."
Oz's Thoughts: 'What should I do? Even if I call out to him, Jack won't come. Basically, when it comes to my existence, this guy wants to get rid of my body and fragment my soul. The fact that I'm here is proof. How can I show him that--!
Oz: "This is enough foolishness...Can't you just shut up and go home...?"
Oz's Thoughts: 'Jack, if you won't come out, then I'll forcibly drag you out!!
Then "Oz" laughs. Though, by now, Jack has come out, which causes to Barma to bow to him (once Jack guesses that Barma is a descendant of Arthur's).
Isla (to Jack): "We've (I've) been protecting the seal, passing it down from practitioner to practitioner. The words of your written pledge...!"
Jack: "'A snake twined around a silver stake...'"
Oz then faints and Gil catches him. On page 48 we see Oz saying: "As if. That guy, really is stupid!! (There is laughter surrounding Oz.) He continues: "You all got deceived by my acting!!"
Gil's Thoughts: 'Oz...didn't like that man all that much.
Alice: "Just now, were your words like some kind of spell?"
Oz: "That was the one sentence that was written on the paper given to me by Lytas-san." (Note: The scanlation translations have his name written as Riitasu-san, but I checked online, and while uncommon, Lytas (which is another way "Riitasu" can be transliterated) is an actual surname).
Oz: "Though I recalled the passage that Lord Barma deciphered before hand...I'm just happy that it was accurate."
Barma: "What did you say!" Barma then goes on to explain that Isla is simple, of course he wouldn't forget the line he deciphered, and he was just stringing Isla along (basically, or, at least, that's the gist). At this point Oz says, "Oh, I see. Thank you," to Barma. Oz did all of that to get Isla to go away. Of course, Barma asks Oz if he has something planned, which he does, of course.
...But it backfires! Oz mentions to Isla that he never got to finish his coming of age ceremony because it got disrupted by his father. So he is technically not an adult or part of high class society and such. He thought it would get him out of visiting Isla, but, instead, Isla says:
"...We shall do that then, Oz-sama. At my mansion we will have your debut into high class society."
Poor Oz! O.O;
This was a rather weird chapter...^^;> Though I did like Oz in a dress! XDb And I hope this helped some people understand the chapter a bit better. Oh, also, FG is a far better name than Isla, so I may go with that...XDD

@темы: pandora hearts
